A wedding happens to be one of the best moments for couples starting the marriage journey, it is not just the wedding but everything that surrounds the wedding from the before to the after. Speaking of the before, the pre-wedding shoot has become the order of the day and couples are taking the creativity ship on this one as there have tons of lovely pre-wedding shoot that you cannot help but fall in love with.

The perfect pre-wedding shoot does not just involve the bride and the groom even though without them, there would be no shoot but credit has to be given to the entire crew behind the scene.

To achieve your perfect pre-wedding shoot (because perfect lies in the eyes of the beholder), you need to:

  • Plan the shoot

Have an idea on what you want and draw a blueprint of how you and your partner want it to go. Visit prospective venues for the shoot; if you want a nature-themed shot, visit gardens, beaches, farms, forests and many more. If you want an aqua-themed shoot, visit the rivers, streams and oceans you will like to use. This is the time you weigh all options and the hazards involved. You should have answers to questions like ‘can the props be used here?’, ‘can we stand on water?’, ‘can we dangle from the sky?’, and ‘can someone lose their life in the process?’

  • Get your venue

After you have gone around with your partner, decide on the right venue that fits your theme perfectly. Some people have nice concepts but the venue negates the whole idea of the shoot. You cannot dress like a mermaid and Aquaman to have an aqua-themed shoot only for you to have the shoot in a church or club. It will look confusing to people.

  • Get your attires and accessories right

This is super necessary as you do not want to spend all the time planning for a shoot that will be destroyed by the wrong outfit and accessories. Do not go overboard because at the end of the day we want to see your face and that of your partner and watch as the love radiate in your eyes. Have the right get up for the theme you decide to go with.

  • Get a professional photographer

This is a very important piece on the board. When we say professional, it does not mean you have to go for the presidential photographer. You do not have to break the bank for a pre-wedding shoot if you do, what is going to happen at the wedding if you are already broke from taking pictures that are mostly just for you.

Have a photographer with the right tools take your photos; if you have no one in mind you can go on social media and select about three or four and go through their work and make your choice. If you cannot afford a photographer, you can download DIY videos of how to take pictures yourself with your phone and things will still turn out beautifully.
