Relationship Pet Peeves Every Couple Can Relate To

A pet peeve is usually something small, annoying and avoidable. They can be deal-breakers to some people while other people just fight over them or find a way to manage them. These pet peeves can actually create corrosion in your relationship if you do not address them on time:

  • Comparing Your Relationship To Others

Every relationship is unique; there is no universal formula to attaining the perfect relationship. Do not compare your friend’s or family’s relationship to yours because you may be oblivious to the struggles they have been through.

  • Having Too Many Friends Of The Opposite Sex

This may be completely harmless but could also give off the notion that you have no boundaries when it comes to members of the opposite sex. It could create a problem if you have fallen short of being trustworthy in the past.

  • Piling The Dishes

A sink full of pots and plates can be a huge turn-off. Not only is it messy, but it gets tiring having to complain about this to someone then clean up after them.

  • Ignoring The Small Things

It’s a lover’s world. Once you get used to being around your partner, he or she will appreciate you more when you pay attention to their likes and dislikes and actually seek to please them accordingly.

  • Telling Others About Your Problems

It may be a bother to your partner if he or she does not feel safe sorting out issues with you and deliberating on intimate contentions if the gist will land in the ears of close family and friends.

  • Saying “I’m Fine” When You Are Not

A problem shared is truly a problem half solved; people get annoyed when you do not show signs of desired solutions.

  • Leaving The Toilet Seat Up

Hygiene is everything and sometimes when the toilet seat is up, you might expose yourself to how careful you were while using the toilet. Ladies mostly sit on the toilet seat while using it so it’s annoying to see the seat up whenever they want to use it especially if they live alone and their partner is just round for a visit.

  • The Way You Squeeze Toothpaste

Your partner could go mental over the fact that you squeeze your toothpaste from the middle and not the bottom of the tube. This could deeply annoy someone who prefers a certain type of arrangement when it comes to their personal effects.

A pet peeve could actually develop into a full-blown deal breaker over time. Make a conscious effort to avoid these pet peeves and put a smile on your partner’s face today!
