Building a great relationship requires a lot of effort. You have to support your partner, share in their dreams, emotions, fears and always show that you love them.

While there are a lot of ways to communicate how much you love your spouse, one of the most subconscious ways is through body language. Research has confirmed that expressing yourself through this language goes a long way in showing how you feel inside. Here are five examples of body language that can strengthen the physical and emotional spheres of your relationship:

Leaning on each other

When you always tend to lean on their shoulders or look out for them in the crowd, you've got a great relationship. If you're doing this often, you're strengthening the bond in your relationship.

Touching

Touching each other often is a sign of a strong bond in a relationship. If you're constantly holding hands while taking a walk or subconsciously touching/caressing your partner, you're most likely having a very healthy relationship. You should both re-evaluate your relationship in cases where you're not doing this as often together.

Lingering Kisses

Kissing passionately for longer is a sign of a wholesome relationship. So, the next time you're with your partner, make sure you give them a long kiss. It expresses deep-felt passion, a crave for their attention and a sign that you're happy being with them.

Longer eye contact

The longer your eye contact with your partner, the more confident your relationship becomes. It also helps in building trust and enhancing individual self-esteem. When you cannot keep eye contact with your spouse, it shows you're probably uninterested or have become disinterested in them. You're also unconsciously giving them less attention.

Longer hugs

Hugs are always relaxing. They always help to relieve stress and show care. When you hug your partner for a longer time, you're assuring him/her that you will always be there. You're also opening a space where they can be confident in you and trust you more. Your hugs also show affection and increase your level of connection with each other.

Body languages are one of the best ways of expressing the words ''I love you.'' The more you express yourselves through body language, the stronger your relationship becomes. Does your partner respond to physical touch as a love language? Find out to make the best of your years ahead!
