Long-distance relationships are notorious for being difficult. After all, loving someone who is closeby can be complicated; imagine how intense it can get with someone who is miles away. The only favourable way of maintaining a strong relationship is to spice it up.  Here are a few ways to make Long-distance relationships exciting, fun, and bubbling with love!

1. Constant Communication: This is a given. Communication is the bedrock of everything. It is of topmost importance even in the most basic relationships where both parties meet physically regularly, how much more a romantic relationship where physical meetings are not as regular. And one thing about communication is that it’s not just about what’s being said, but about the time spent with each other.

2. Gifts: Just like communication, it’s one of the love languages out there. And truly, who doesn’t love receiving gifts, no matter how small? At the end of the day, it’s not just about the gifts, but about the thought behind it.

3. Surprise Visits: Surprising your partner by visiting them on ''less special'' days is a great turn on! You'd be surprised at how this gesture will make everything a lot sweeter.

4. Play Games: Thanks to technology, there are interactive games anyone can play anywhere in the world. There’s the HouseParty app, iMessage games etc. that you could try out with your partner. The goal is to keep having fun with each other as much as possible.

5. Have a Ritual: This follows on the heels of number 4. You should always have date nights,  play, discuss, eat together at least every week and this should be apart from talking to each other every day. Arrange to meet physically every 3 or 6 months, depending on how far apart you both are or work demands.

6. Trust: This may be the most important factor in the success of a long-distance relationship. You'll just have to learn to trust your partner. If not, you'll find out that you're also questioning their actions now and then, especially if they give an excuse for missing anything. On the flip side, it's not out of place to ask questions when you have a concern that needs clarification.
