5 Times You Should Take Off Your Wedding Ring

Your wedding ring is an important sign of your commitment so you want to wear it always. However, as much as you may like to think that your gold or diamond ring will last forever, there are certain things you may be doing that will reduce its life span and in fact, you could lose it suddenly.

 

Going On an Adventure?

If you’re travelling for adventure and you’ll be going to be hiking or surfing or some other thrill seeking activity, it’s best that you leave your ring right at home. There’s nothing as bad as realizing you’ve lost your ring and knowing you’ll never find it again on some mountain trail or at the bottom of the ocean.

At the Beach

No matter what beach, it’s best to leave your ring in your jewelry box. It could get lost in the sand or carried away by the waves. Also, the sands tend to get under your ring and you may have a difficult time trying to take it off.

Kitchen /Laundry room.

If you have to hand wash dishes or clothes or anything, you shouldn’t be wearing your ring. The chemicals in soaps and would result to losing the original coating of your ring.

In the Bathroom

When you’re taking a shower, your shampoos, body soaps and scrubs can easily clog up on or under your ring. Then, cleaning it becomes a problem. If you would like your ring looking as brand new as when you first had it, it’s best that you avoid earing it during these times. It would also help you to not throw your ring away in wash water.

At the gym

It’s very possible that you even get injured whilst wearing your ring. This is asides hitting your ring against a hard surface. Unless you’re doing only cardio exercises, it’s best to let your ring lie in your box for your safety.
