5 Things To Do After A Terrible First Date

First dates are always the start of something new. Most times the turnout determines whether the couple moves to the next stage. Having to go on a first date can be quite nerve-racking as you sometimes go overboard to make sure things are perfect. In a bid to do that, things can go south real quick. Here are 5 things to do after you have had a terrible first date:

Relax

You have to take a break and not overthink what happened on the date. Take this time to watch a movie, do something fun or sleep to get your mind over the bad memories. Overthinking can lead to rash decisions that can stop something beautiful from developing.

Retrospect

After you must have been in a calm and more open-minded state, think back to what made everything come crashing down during the first date. If you were at fault then consider making up. If the fault is from your date then you can consider if he or she is worth another chance.

Communicate

Let them know how the date went especially if you have a little liking for them. Point out what went wrong and how you both can do better. For all it is worth, somethings might have happened before the date and through good communication, all can be brought to light. Make sure you are willing to listen.

Have a do-over

If you feel that the other person has more to offer than the first date then there is no harm in trying again. You can scratch the first date and have another ‘first date’. There is no rule to what date you decide to make your first, have as much as you want till you get your perfect first date.

Move on

If you think you cannot get over the terrible experience,  then the best thing to do is to forget about the first date and move on. One or two terrible dates should not deter your belief in love or mould your opinion about dating.
